DGR Current Projects
We are currently implementing a project on Empowering Girls with Hearing Impairments, Household Members and Community Leaders to Fight against Violence Against girls with hearing Impairments. The project also builds the capacity of deaf girls so that they are economically empowered. This project is implemented in partnership with MADRE. It targets 40 deaf girls in the two sub-counties of Wakiso district (Mende and Kakiri Town Council).
DGR Past Projects
Kuroiler Chicken Farming to Advance Deaf Girls Rights in Wakiso district. This project was funded by Wakiso District Local Government under the Special Grand for Persons with Disabilities. Twenty deaf girls benefitted from this project and we shall be sharing success stories soon.
