This species of shrimp comes in a multitude of colors such as Fire Red, Neon Yellow, Red Rili, and many more. Besides the different colors and variations this species come in, they are also known to be bottom feeders meaning that they consume excess foods, organic material such as fish secretions, algae, and etc. Characteristics and Basic CareCare Difficulty: Great for beginner aquaristsDiet: Omnivorous Average Life Span: 1 to 2 yearsAverage Adult Size: 3 to 4 cm (1.18 – 1.16 in)Optimal Tank Size: 10 gallons or moreIn order to maintain your shrimp’s health and best coloration, it is important to give them a varied diet. The recommended diet would be algae wafers, blanched vegetables, fish food flakes or pellets, frozen blood worms, brine shrimp, and more. If you plan on leaving food in your tank, we recommend multiple water changes throughout the week to help maintain the water parameters specifications and needs for your pets.Water Parameters and SpecificationsOur freshwater shrimps have been imported from Thailand and have gone through a quarantine process. Please note that all orders include an extra shrimp. This is provided just in case some arrive DOA.
