‘Berries on Autumn Gold’…..The spectacular and multi-colored hues of the “Autumn Gold Stretch” Art Glass provides the perfect blend of vibrant colors in Robin Spindler’s design of red bittersweet berries. This lovely graceful footed basket, is called the ‘panel’ basket in Fenton’s Catalog. It has a total of six (6) panels. The design flows artistically over all panels. The ‘front’ design is slightly more full and detailed than the ‘back’ side of the basket. Robin Spindler’s design is light, with an Oriental feel…all the colors are soft and muted. The peach toned berries, are highlighted with orange, and have a white dot accent. Light green leaves, and light brown stems, ground the design within subtle foliage. The signature of the talented Fenton factory artist, J Cutshaw (Jeanne Cutshaw) is permanently painted on the bottom of this piece. This basket measures approximately 9 3/4″ tall overall; with the ‘bowl’ of the basket being 5 3/4″ tall, and the handle rising above that another 4″. The rim of the basket flares 5 1/2″ (side to side), and the handle is 5″ wide. This basket was available and presented to Authorized Dealers for the Fall 2005 Collection(During the 100th Anniversary Year). It comes with all the original box, price tag, stretch glass tag, oval silver Fenton sticker, and a retired sticker all still attached to the ware. Handcrafted in this fabulous “Autumn Gold Stretch” Art Glass, this is a FIRST QUALITY piece, made at the 106+ year old Fenton factory located in Williamstown, West Virginia, USA!
