It was made by the E. Ingraham Company in Bristol, Conn., USA during the 1920’s. It has the original 8 day time and duplex chime movement, which has been ultrasonically cleaned and is in good running condition, keeping time and chiming properly. The duel chime design causes the clock to alternately strike two chime rods for each number of the hour, i.e. one duel chime at one o’clock, two duel chimes at two o’clock, etc. It also announces each half hour with a single toll. The case measures 22 ½” long x 9 ½” high x 6″ deep. It is in good structural condition, and still in the original finish which shows only age appropriate wear and age. The solid brass bezel and dial assembly is in good condition. The dial is the old, silvered-over brass style with raised brass numbers and, although showing age and wear, is still very nice looking. Although this clock is very old, it is in nice condition, inside and out. It comes complete with a key and pendulum. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. Normally, all shipping costs are based on actual price for estimated weight plus a minimal fee for packaging material and insurance. In rare instances there may be a flat rate shipping price quoted. Smaller items can be combined to save shipping costs. Because clocks require large boxes, Priority Mail is expensive. If a clock is running properly when it arrives, that is about the best we can do. We cannot guarantee that a clock will not break down, but will not sell anything that we expect to break down without noting that it is being sold as parts or for restoration.
