Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE ANTIQUE RIVERSIDE GLASS GREEN WITH GOLD ESTHER PATTERN TOOTHPICK HOLDER EAPG A beautiful piece of early American made pattern glass (EAPG) in the form of a lovely little toothpick holder. It is a quality piece of pressed glass and was made by the Jefferson Glass formerly of Steubenville, Ohio. It is made in a deep emerald green colored glass and decorated with gold trim. The pattern is called “Esther”. The piece in my photos is the actual item you will receive. Please be sure to read the “Age and Condition” & “Approximate Dimensions” paragraphs below. This piece has been part of my personal toothpick holder collection since 1997. This pattern is pictured in the book Glass Toothpick Holders: Second Edition by Neila & Tom Bredehoft and Jo & Bob Sanford on page 171. If you are not familiar with the NTHCS (National Toothpick Holder Collectors’ Society) it is a great organization and you can learn more about them and collecting toothpick holders at their website. I do my best to describe all items as accurately as possible and to the best of my ability. Some of my photos may be somewhat lighter or darker than actual to better show detail or color. Age and Condition This piece dates to circa 1896. It is in excellent condition. Please look closely at the photos as they are an important part of my description of this item. There is one very tiny flea bite to one of the round “buttons” that are part of the pattern around the body. Otherwise, there are no other flea bites, chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs to the glass. There are only some very light signs of use and some wear to the gold trim – see the photos. Please keep in mind these photos may be blown up at least 8-10 times normal, so anything you see will look 8-10 times larger in the photos than it really is. Please note: if you see a dark spot in the photos it is from my camera and is not a mark on the piece. It will be either just to the right of center towards the bottom or slightly above center on the right side of the photo. Approximate Dimensions About 2.125” (5.4 cm) across the rim and sits about 2.5” (6.4 cm) off the table. Approximate Weight About 3.875 ounces (109 grams).
