eBay Featured is a vintage 1989 large (non-standard) postcard depicting Marvin Garrett, the 1989 World Champion Bareback Riding Cowboy … honored by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Assoc. The cards also served as a joint campaign to prevent forest fires with “Smokey the Bear” as spokesman (or spokesbear). Each card issued had a different slogan stated by Smokey. The slogan for this card (with accompanying art work) reads: “Don’t Horse Around with Wildfire”. The parties to the campaign for Fire Prevention included: the US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Nat’l Assoc of State Foresters, and the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Assoc.).
